This clay hand-building course is designed to build a good foundation fundamental in techniques like Pinching, Coiling and Slab work.

Hand building is one of the most versatile techniques of pottery. It helps us understand the material and its nature well, at the same time opens endless possibilities to create forms and shapes using minimum tools.

One can start creating products sitting at home once you learn the basic techniques as it requires just basic skills and clay.

This is a one-day course, spread over a 2-hour session. We accommodate only 8 students per session, hence the registration will be on a first come first serve basis.

During this course, you will learn to make and paint a Plate ,using hand-building techniques, and an introduction to pottery and clay.

Note:

  1. The class fee is inclusive of material and tools.
  2. At the end of this course, you have the option of taking your finished pieces at a nominal fee of Rs 250/- per piece. The pieces will be bisque fired and glazed by us in predefined colours. The process of drying, glazing, and firing can take up to 3- 4 weeks.
